2005
2005 Turned out to be a big/expencive year for the 94'...
I pulled my car out of hibernation in October. This was a good start of the summer, the car was great as is...I bumped the timing up to 16* to get a bit more power out of it. I decided to get a set of wheel spacers to bring the rear out more, I got 1.25" spacers. I installed these and they stuck out a bit too far and on hard corners up hill they rubbed and nearly popped my tires. So off they came.
I started getting real tired of keeping my polished 18" cobra R replicas clean by polishing them all the time plus I started to notice everyone has the Cobra R's so I wanted somthing a bit diffrent in terms of wheels. I really wanted to go 19" out back and 18" in the front but all the wheels I could find were either: Ricer looking, Wrong offset/backspacing, or most of all for the ones I liked way too expencive.
So I decided to go by a set of 18" Chome Roush wheels and new BFG Gforce KD Tires! I got 18x9 all around I was going to go 18x10 but the 2004 style Roush wheel's rear offset was a ticky number and I would of had to get some custom spacers made up so they wouldnt rub on my inner suspension, but then I didnt want to run into the spacer problem I had before. I knew 18x9 would fit fine without any modification which I didnt feel like dealing with at the time. (wish I went with 18x10 now and delt with it...oh well). I went on vacation to Whislter to go snowboarding and on the way back picked up my new wheels/tires a round roush shifter knob, I was stoked! I got them mounted the next week and installed them. They looked awesome!
I kept the car as it was untill late summer when I decided it wasnt quite low enough with the Eibach springs and It deffently could use some help handling so I decided to up the suspension, at first I just wanted to get lower springs but I started reading and got quite a bit more then that suspension wise (read list)
At the same time I decided to place another order for some cosmetic parts for the stang. I was browsin on UPRs site and decided to pick up a set of their crystal clear smoked headlights, matching fogs, chrome rad cover!
My pockets were looking pretty empty at the end of the summer for my stang.
2005 Shopping list:
- 18" Chrome Roush Wheels
- BFG Gforce KD Tires 265/35/18 all around
- Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber Plates
- Maximum Motorsports Lower Control Arms
- Steeda HD Upper Control Arms
- Maximum Motorsports Front Coil-Over Kit (325# spring)
- Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable shocks/struts
- UPR Chrome Rad Cover
- UPR Smoked Headlights
- UPR Smoked Cobra Foglights
I got all the suspension parts installed then thew on the headlights, rad cover my self.
The suspension made a HUDGE diffrence, front end was super tight (coil overs were very nice) the car actually handled the way a sports car should, hugs the corners very well with very little body roll. Deffently worth every cent!
The smoked headlights deffently look awesome and are one of my favorite purchases for the mustang, they are fairly cheap and are a must.
The car came off the road for winter shortly after the install of the new parts...

Here are some pictures of when I first got it (had a crappy digicam then)
